Sonja holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Zagreb. After graduation, she worked on residential projects in Croatia, before moving to France, where she interned with an international organisation focused on lighting design. Pursuing her passion for film, she went on to a postgraduate study of Film, Exhibition and Curation at The University of Edinburgh, graduating with Distinction in 2016. Active in film, art and design communities, she continues to explore aspects of interdisciplinarity in her work and has collaborated with internationally renowned visual artists and organisations in curatorial, programming and design capacity. Sonja has found a place on the HDAi team in a role that allows her to employ her graphic and aesthetic sensibilities in project design.
