Katie returned to the West Coast after pursuing her education in Toronto and Winnipeg.  She graduated from the University of Manitoba with the AIA Certificate of Merit and on the RAIC Honour Roll after deciding to forgo her career as a professional musician.  While in Toronto she worked on a variety of community projects including an addition to the Victoria Village Ice Arena, renovations at York University and various multi-family private projects. Her main area of practice since joining the practice in 2005 has been the custom residential sector. She was recently also Project Architect for the W.A.C. Bennett Library Main Floor Renovation at Simon Fraser University and the Capilano Golf Natural Resource Management Facility. She is a LEED Professional who hopes to someday raise bees in her backyard. Katie lives on the North Shore with her husband and two little ones.
